What is Microblading

Microblading is the technique of implanting pigment after the creation of fine incisions in the skin.  Microblading is also known as embroidery, 3D embroidery, microstroking, feather touch and hair like strokes. It is a form of Semi-Permanent Makeup that provides a means to partially or fully camouflage missing eyebrow hair with the appearance of simulated hair using fine deposits of cosmetic tattoo pigments. Over time the strokes can blur and fade and will need to be refreshed.

This technique is a process that may be used to improve or create eyebrow definition, to cover gaps of lost hair, to extend the eyebrows, or used as a full reconstruction if the brows have little/no hair. Each microblading stroke is applied individually, allowing the artist to control the shape, color and density of the completed eyebrows.

The treatment begins with developing the desired shape, then using individual semi-permanent tattoo strokes, or 'feathers', to plot the shape and style requested. The color choice is determined with the patient using a natural selection of pigments to complement hair color and skin tone.

Microblading typically lasts 1-3  years, depending on skin type and skincare routine.

What is an Ombré  Brow?

Ombré brows, also known as Powdered Brows, are a semi-permanent eyebrow styling technique that creates a soft shaded brow pencil look.

It has been around for decades and has been gradually improving over the years. It gives great definition & depth to the eyebrows.

It is particularly recommended for women with oily skin or combination skin or anyone who fills in their brows regularly with pencil or shadow.

Ombre Brows typically lasts 2-3  years, depending on skin type and skincare routine.

What is the diffidence between Microblading and Ombré Brows?

What’s the difference between microblading and Ombré Brows? Well, while microblading involves hand-carving small lines into the skin to deposit semi-permanent dye and create defined, hair-like strokes, the Ombré Brows technique uses a machine to create pixelated dots that create a powder-like, shaded brow look that starts light at the front of your brows and transitions to being darker at the ends.

How much does Microblading or Ombré Brows cost?

Microblading- $400 (including touch up)

Ombre Brows- $300 (Single session)- $100 (touch up)

Is a touch-up included?

MICROBLADING- The cost includes a complimentary "perfecting -session" (touch-up),  which is typically 6-8 weeks out.  The perfecting-session is not always necessary but highly recommended as the color from the initial procedure may lighten up and/or completely fade out in some areas.  The perfecting-session will also allow us to fill in faded area, make slight adjustments to the shape, color and size of the brows. The perfecting-session should be scheduled within the 6-8 week time frame.  Unfortunately, the complimentary perfecting-session will be voided if not done within this time frame.

**Please note that the perfecting-session should be scheduled with me as the option is not available online**

OMBRE BROWS- THIS SERVICE DOES NOT INCLUDE A COMPLIMENTARY TOUCH UP. ($100 TOUCH UP FEE)

Additional Touch-ups for pre-existing clients: Touch-up costs vary anywhere from $175-250 (depending on amount of fading).  This does not apply if a year has passed and a new microblading session may be required

Cover-ups/Correction/Touch-up over another artists work?

Starting at $300

This is a case by case situation.  This would depending on the amount of residual pigment left on the skin, how saturated the brows are and how much scarring (if any) is present.  This applies to any prior work done by another artist. This is a single session and does not include a touch up. Photos will be requested in order to determine this.  Unfortunately in some cases cover-ups are not possible.

How long is the recovery/healing time?

Recovery takes about 10-14 days depending on the individual.  The pigment line I use has a high level of retention.  It will slightly lighten and become softer overtime.  Redness and swelling may occur, but usually subsides within a couple of hours.

What is the after care?

Please refer to "Before and After Care".

How is the shape determined?

This, along with the color choice, will be a team effort!!  We will determine a shape and size that will be suitable to your face and bone structure.  I will do my best to make it as even and symmetrical as possible.

How do you choose a color?

I will suggest a couple of shades and apply the color swatches to your forehead.  At that point, we will determine the desired shade together. It is important to know that the color will (for the most part) heal true to tone, with some color loss, what you see is what generally what you get.

What types of pigments do you use?

The pigments I use are VEGAN, CRUELTY-FREE and gamma ray sterilized!! They are specifically formulated for microblading and cosmetic tattooing. The brand used is a combination of pigments that have glycerin, which hazel, isopropyl alcohol, rosin, DMDM hydantoin and water based ingredients.

What tools are used?

Please refer to desired service

What kind of results should I expect?

As with any other type of cosmetic procedure, there are no guaranteed results.  Client should be realistic in their expectation and understand that results may vary from person to person depending on ones skin type, lifestyle, maintenance, etc.
